Powered by the Volvo D5E engine the EC200 produces the ultimate combination of high power and low fuel consumption. The premium 4-cylinder Volvo engine provides high torque at low RPM, delivering impressive performance, efficiency and long-lasting reliability.

A fuel efficient mode

Unique Volvo technology incorporates work modes within the throttle control, for optimum performance. When the operator selects a work mode – I (Idle), F (Fine), G (General), H (Heavy) and P (Power) – the rpm is already set for maximum efficiency. ECO mode can improve fuel efficiency by a further 5%, without any loss of performance in most operating conditions.

More control, less fuel

Shifts are smoother and more efficient thanks to the new optimized electro-hydraulic (positive) control system, which not only improves fuel efficiency but also enhances controllability and response time. A boom swing priority valve boosts controllability further, making the EC200 the perfect choice for truck loading.

Make it count

Make every drop of fuel count with intelligent engine features which eliminate unnecessary fuel consumption, lower operating costs and reduce environmental impact. Automatic engine idle reduces engine speed to idle when the controls are inactive for a pre-set amount of time. Auto engine shut down automatically switches off the engine when the machine is inactive for a pre-set amount of time.

Machine features combine with Volvo Services to help operators and owners monitor fuel usage, maximize efficiency and keep operating costs to a minimum. Stay in the know with the fuel gauge display, which provides visual information on both real-time and average fuel consumption.
