A fuel efficient mode

Unique Volvo technology incorporates work modes within the throttle control, for optimum performance. When the operator selects a work mode – I (Idle), F (Fine), G (General), H (Heavy) and P (Power) – the rpm is already set for maximum efficiency. ECO mode can improve fuel efficiency by a further 5%, without any loss of performance in most operating conditions.

The hydraulics system, combined with the fully electronic control system and advanced ECO mode, has been optimized to work in harmony to match the engine power, reduce power loss and improve controllability and response time. A boom swing priority valve boosts controllability further, making the EC220 the perfect choice for truck loading.
